A striking collection of music of the cotton mill industry. Songs of strikes, close-outs, brown lung, and solidarity by musicians Si Kahn, Jack Wright, Guy Carawan, Rich Kirby, Tom Bledshoe, John McCutcheon and others. This album was produced to raise money for the Southern Institute for Occupational Health (SIOH). Proceeds go toward SIOH’s efforts to educate and support Southern workers in their fight for a safe and healthy workplace.
